1904 HOLIDAY SNAPS
The exhibition in Skiathos presents
for the first time the images that the
distinguished British photographer
Alexander Lamont Henderson took during
his visit to Greece in the first months
of 1904. His lens stayed away from
the stereotypical images of the era and
focused on documenting social life and
everyday reality. Η έκθεση στη Σκιάθο
παρουσιάζει για πρώτη φορά στο κοινό τις
εικόνες που αποτύπωσε ο διακεκριμένος
Βρετανός φωτογράφος Alexander
Lamont Henderson κατά την επίσκεψή
του στην Ελλάδα το 1904. Ο φακός του
στράφηκε μακριά από τα εικονογραφικά
στερεότυπα της εποχής και εστίασε στην
καταγραφή της κοινωνικής ζωής και της
καθημερινότητας.

OLIVE OIL PRODUCTION OF LESVOS
The museum presents the industrial phase of olive oil
production in Greece. It focuses on the changes brought about
by introducing mechanical motion to the process of olive oil
production, and approaches the contribution of the region’s
inhabitants to the production process with sensitivity. Το
μουσείο παρουσιάζει τη βιομηχανική φάση της ελαιουργίας
στην Ελλάδα, εστιάζει στις αλλαγές που επέφερε
η εισαγωγή της μηχανικής κίνησης στη διαδικασία
παραγωγής και προσεγγίζει με ευαισθησία τη συμβολή
