BABIS & DIMITRIS PAPADELLIS
Owners of Papadellis Olive Oil
It was the year 1970 when the grandfather of the family started trading olive oil and in 1981 he bought in
Mytilene the first olive oil refinery, transferring his knowledge to the younger members of the family. Today,
his grandsons, Babis and Dimitris Papadellis, are producing their own olive oil in their own facilities, while
cooperating with over a hundred producers from the island, where olive oil is a savoury treasure, they produce
the golden-yellow extra virgin olive oil Sapfo. Ήταν το 1970, όταν ο παππούς της οικογένειας Χαράλαμπος
Πλωμαρίτης ξεκίνησε την ενασχόληση με το λάδι και ήταν το 1981 όταν αγόρασε στη Μυτιλήνη το
πρώτο ελαιοτριβείο μεταφέροντας τη γνώση του στα νεότερα μέλη της οικογένειας. Σήμερα, οι εγγονοί
του Μπάμπης και Δημήτρης Παπαδέλλης παράγουν το δικό τους λάδι στις εγκαταστάσεις τους, ενώ,
συνεργαζόμενοι με πάνω από 100 παραγωγούς απ’ το νησί, όπου το λάδι αποτελεί γευστικό θησαυρό,
παράγουν το χρυσοκίτρινο εξαιρετικά παρθένο ελαιόλαδο Sapfo. papadellis.eu
